New developments in 2018 Kings County homicide

Detectives said they have new developments in a 2018 homicide in Kettleman City. Officials confirmed that members of the Norteno criminal street gang in Kettleman City are involved in the homicide.

34-year-old man shot and killed in Kettleman City back in February of 2018. 

Police said they responded to the 200 block of Maud Street for a person with a gunshot wound who was not breathing. 

The California Highway Patrol and Avenal Police Department said they arrived on scene and found 34-year-old Armando Garza, sitting in the driver’s seat of a car shot multiple times.

Kings County Fire personnel arrived on scene and determined Armando was deceased. 

Detectives responded to the location and took over the investigation and determined members of the Norteno criminal street gang in Kettleman City are involved in the homicide.
