Motorcycle crash in Fresno kills one, critically injures another after he caught fire

FRESNO, California – One person is dead and another is critically injured in northwest Fresno after two motorcycles collided into a semi truck, according to police.

Witnesses say the victims were likely racing motorcycles down Shaw Avenue near Golden State Boulevard just before 3 p.m.

A semi truck pulled out in front of the men, killing one of the men and critically injuring the other.

The crash into the semi truck sparked a gas leak, erupting one of the bikes and its driver in flames.

Police say bystanders had a fire extinguisher and helped put the fire out.

Traffic in the area is slowed until the crash site is cleaned up.
