Mother with triplets says she broke world record running a Two Cities Half Marathon

A Sunnyvale mom who ran the Two Cities Half Marathon with her triplets said she broke a world record Sunday.

Ann Marie Cody pushed her daughter and two sons in a stroller. She said she ran a half marathon in an hour and 48 minutes which broke the current record by 6 minutes.

Cody said it won’t be in the Guinness World Records right away because she has to show evidence and it still has to be approved.

“Another mom with triplets decided to establish this world record in half marathon running. I got really inspired and got in touch with her and she said go for it. I’ve always enjoyed running and was looking for something I could do, and the kids could do, as well,” said Cody.

Cody said the triplets did well during the race. She also said Saturday was a celebration with how far they’ve come because the triplets spent a month in the NICU after they were born.
