A Tulare County mother is being charged with murder in connection to the deaths of her twin infants.

Police say 10-month-old twin boys drowned Thursday morning at a motel in Tulare and the babies’ mother, 37-year old Heather Langdon, is to blame. Police said it all happened at the Virginia Motor Lodge Motel near Bardsley Avenue and K Street on December 6th.

The Tulare County District Attorney’s office has announced criminal charges against Langdon. She is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of assault on a child causing death, and the special circumstance that multiple murders were committed.

If convicted on all counts, Langdon faces a potential sentence of life without the possibility of parole. Officials say she is also eligible for the death penalty.
