Mexican tariffs could start Monday

The U.S. and Mexico are back at it again today, trying to avoid a tax on Mexican goods set to start Monday.

President Trump lands in Washington this afternoon as Mexico makes a last ditch effort to convince the U.S. that their immigration enforcement is enough to avoid a five percent escalating tariff starting Monday.
The President told FOX overnight, “I go into the room with the Mexicans I’m asking them for everything and between if they don’t do it we’re gonna put the tariffs on we’re going to make a fortune.”
That’s not what financial experts say. They’re concerned Americans will pay the extra cost.
Mexican officials are optimistic. On the table: sending six-thousand Mexican troops to the border with Guatemala to stop migrant caravans there.
Meantime President Trump is in a war of words with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi’s under fire from her own party  to start impeachment proceedings against the President. She reportedly told lawmakers: “I don’t want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison.”
