A Merced County sheriff’s deputy and two other people are recovering after a crash sent them to the hospital.
Merced Police say the deputy was traveling southbound on G Street, when he crashed with another driver going westbound Alexander Avenue. It happened just before 8 p.m. Saturday.
The deputy was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.
The occupants in the other vehicle, a 19-year-old driver and 17-year-old passenger, were also taken to the hospital.
It’s not known how they are doing or who caused the crash. The Merced Police Department is investigating.
