The Isnardi Foundation invests in charitable organizations in and near Fresno, and carries on the legacy of its founder – Vincent Isnardi. This week we highlight the Isnardi Foundation’s support of community as our healthcare hero.
The foundation was started in 2006 by Vincent, who was born and raised in Fresno, and graduated from UCSF School of Pharmacy before returning home to practice at his family’s pharmacy business, the International Drug Company. Vince, as he went by, was known for treating everyone with dignity and respect, and he cared for his patients like his own family members.
The Isnardi Foundation has supported many areas at Community, like the Leon S. Peters Burn Center, Community Cancer Institute, and most recently the neonatal intensive care unit at Community Regional Medical Center.
“Vince was a very caring person. He was a pharmacist, he was very involved with people’s healthcare, he liked to see people do well. He spoke three languages that I knew of, he was very involved in the community. I believe that he would be very proud of what we’ve done with the hospital, your hospital, and I just can’t help believe that he’s up there looking down and smiling,” said Andrew Bedoian, the secretary of the Isnardi Foundation.
Vince passed away in 2011 after a full life of giving and caring.
