The man who was killed with his girlfriend outside of a Fresno church on Sunday has been identified.

Raul Herrera, 51, of Fresno, died at the hospital after he and his girlfriend, Martha Garcia, 61, of Fresno, were shot by Garcia’s husband, according to authorities.

Martha Garcia and Herrera just left the 7:30 a.m. mass at St. Alphonsus and got to their car. Fresno Police said that’s when Manuel Garcia, 64, of Fresno, shot and killed them.

Martha died at the scene.

As authorities surrounded Manuel’s home, they heard a shot fired. Police then sent a robot inside and found Manuel dead in the living room holding a handgun.
