News

A man is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times.

It happened around 6:30p.m. Sunday night in a neighborhood near Fresno Street and Floradora Avenue.

The 46 year old victim was taken to CRMC to undergo surgery for his injuries.

He was stabbed twice in the stomach after being robbed.

He told police he was walking when he was approached by two other men.

The victims says the men took his cell phone, wallet and money.

“At this time we are on the early stages of the investigation, we have yet to find and actual crime scene in the area of Floradora and Fresno St so we have detectives continuing to follow up, we have officers canvassing the area we are looking for any items of evidence related to this incident,” said Steve Card with the Fresno Police Department.

After being stabbed the victim was able to get to a nearby residence where he knew someone and was able to call for help.

At this time there is not description of the suspects, other than that they are Hispanic.

If you have any information on the stabbing you are asked to call Fresno Police.
