He was 47 year old Daniel Hernandez of Reedley. Deputies say he was found shot in and orchard. The coroner has completed an autopsy. The sheriff’s office says the results of his death are pending further investigation.

The sheriff’s office says a driver flagged down a CHP officer Wednesday evening in Selma, saying her two friends, a man and a woman,  had been shot. There were four small children in the car as well, none of them suffered injuries. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the area. One of the victims told deputies they were involved in a shooting with Hernandez in an orchard in Parlier. Deputies went to the orchard and found Hernandez dead.

Detectives say the woman who was shot and Hernandez had been dating.

The woman  remains in the hospital in critical condition. The man  who was shot has been treated and released from the hospital. The investigation is being treated as a case of domestic violence.
