Man Arrested For False Walmart Bomb Threat

A 27-year-old man has been arrested, in connection to a false bomb threat incident at the Walmart in Tulare that happened on Sunday night.

According to a statement by Tulare Police, Christopher Wayne Hart of Corcoran was arrested in the 300 block of South Pratt Street in Tulare, without incident. Police will not disclose how Hart was identified as the suspect.

According to police, officers were sent to the Walmart on East Prosperity Avenue at about 7 P.M. Sunday, for a report of a bomb threat that was called into the business.

The Walmart, according to police, was evacuated, and a request was reportedly made to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office for a bomb detection K9. No bomb was reportedly located, after a search of the building. 

Hart has been booked into the Tulare County Jail, on suspicion of making a false bomb threat.
