Man arrested for allegedly discharging gun in home with baby

News

A man has been arrested for allegedly firing off his gun in a crowded South Fresno home with a baby inside.

This happened in the 1200 block of East Calwa around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police received a 9-1-1 call from the sister of Augustine Rosas, 29.

Relatives say Rosas threatened them while waiving a gun, and then fired a single shot through the ceiling.

Police said family ran into bedrooms and out of the home to hide from Rosas. No one was hurt.

Rosas gave up peacefully and was taken into custody.

While searching the home, police found a .44 caliber revolver inside a closet.

Police say drugs may have been a factor in the incident.
