Lost Lake Argument Ends With Friant Road Stabbing

Traffic was tied up on a busy roadway in Fresno Tuesday night because of a roadside stabbing. The stabbing happened around five o’clock on Friant just south of Cooper. Police say the argument that sparked the stabbing actually started in the Lost Lake area.
Police say the argument started out between two women.  They say the suspect and the victim then drove to Fresno in different vehicles.  The fight between the two women erupted again again on the side of Friant Road. “They decided to pull over to the side of the road and got into a fist fight.. And the male victim tried to intervene  at some point and was stabbed by a male suspect”, according to Lt. Steve Card of the Fresno Police Department.
The victim is reportedly in his 20’s, and Police say the two groups knew each other prior to the incident.  Police are now looking for the suspect and two women.  No description of the suspects or the vehicles involved has been released.  The victim was in critical condition after the attack but has since stabilized.
