Watch: Duncan Polytechnic hosts 9/11 memorial ceremony

FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Duncan Polytechnic High School hosted a memorial to the victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks its the 18th anniversary Wednesday, and to honor local veterans, police officers, and firefighters.

The school’s Air Force Junior ROTC color guard and cadets, led a procession down the main hall, while leadership students held American flags.

The ceremony welcomed the public, including community members who have served and protected their community or country.

Representatives from Duncan Polytechnic and the Fresno Police Department told stories of how the terrorist attacks affected them in Fresno and reminded students in attendance, most too young to remember the attack, how it affected the country.
