Two killed in Madera County head-on crash. One of the victims was a juvenile

Two people died in a Madera County head-on crash Saturday afternoon.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. at Avenue 12 and Road 34 1/2. The coroner was called to the scene shortly after, according to California Highway Patrol.

CHP says a solo male driver was killed, as well as a male child an SUV carrying five people.

The others in the crash were taken to Community Regional Medical Center for their unknown injuries.

Avenue 12 near the scene is shutdown as the scene is investigated and cleaned up.
