Two killed in Madera County crash identified

MADERA COUNTY, California - The two people killed in a crash in Madera County on Thursday have been identified.

Frankie Jose Rodriguez, 26, of Salinas, and Jessica Myers, 24, of Chowchilla, were killed in the crash, the Madera County Coroner's Office said Friday.

Neither were wearing seatbelts, California Highway Patrol said.

A 1-year-old in their vehicle was injured in the crash.

Family members confirm the child belongs to Rodriguez and Myers.

CHP said a 35-year-old man was behind the wheel of the other car, and he appears to be at fault. He's was in serious condition after the crash. CHP also said marijuana and alcohol were found in his vehicle, and there was a strong odor of both inside the car. 

No other information was immediately available.
