This group of girls show us that building robots isn’t just for boys.

The Smart-A-Doodles is an all-girl team with a passion for all things STEM; science, technology, engineering and math.

From creating robots made of legos, to tackling problems in space, and now, the team is getting ready to take their winning project to Houston, Texas.

After taking first place at a local robotics competition back in December, their project aims to help astronauts.

Due to the conditions in space, some have problems with their vision.

“Our solution was to make a pressure suit for the astronauts to wear so that they don’t lose their vision and they’re still useful up in (space),” says Margaret Hampton, member of the Smart-A-Doodles.

The team will be competing against kids from all over the world, and you can help the girls by visiting their Facebook to donate.
