Someone dumped puppies in a Madera trash can, but they were found and rescued

Local News

Someone dumped puppies in the trash at a Madera apartment complex Sunday night, the Madera Police Department said.

Two men were taking their trash out when they noticed something odd — a box with puppies was dumped in the large trash receptacle at their apartment complex.

Knowing they couldn’t leave the puppies in the trash, they took the box out and called police.

Officer Gibbs responded and took the puppies to the Madera County Animal Shelter.

They’ll be up for adoption for residents who want to provide them a good home.
