FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A school bus was involved in a crash in southeast Fresno on Wednesday, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened in the area of Belmont and Folwer avenues around 7 a.m.
CHP said the bus was rear-ended by a Dodge Charger. The Charger sustained major front-end damage.
Details on damage to the bus and injuries weren’t immediately available.
CHP said there were 70 kids on board.
The bus is from the Clovis Unified School District.
Six kids were taken to an area hospital complaining of pain, CHP said. Clovis Unified said it was a precaution.
The Fresno Police Department had closed Belmont Avenue in the area.
