All Fresno Unified High School Pools Will Open to Public

A near drowning was reported at Clovis West High School Wednesday afternoon, district officials say.

A child, about five-years-old, had trouble swimming during a public swim session, and lifeguards treated her on the pool deck.

She was alert and wake, and taken to a local hospital.

“We are grateful for the quick action by our staff who is vigilant in watching over swimmers using our pools during swim hours,” said Clovis Unified Associate Superintendent Norm Anderson.
