NAS Lemoore addresses traffic, parking issue for day two of the Blue Angels Air Show

Local News

LEMOORE, California (KSEE/KGPE) – As the Blue Angels are about to finish out day two of their air show at the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, officials are addressing the traffic and parking issues from day one.

Lines of cars were backed up for miles on Highway 198 leading up to the base. Thousands of people were waiting to catch a glimpse of the angels in the sky.

Many were turned away from the event once they reached the gates due to being at capacity. Others pulled off to the side of the highway to watch the angels.

The night before day two, officials decided to open the parking gates at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and will use a runway to alleviate congestion entering and exiting the event.
