Motorcyclist killed in crash on Highway 41 in Fresno County identified

Local News

FRESNO COUNTY, California – The motorcyclist killed in a crash in Fresno County Sunday afternoon has been identified.

It happened at Highway 41 and Harlan Avenue around 3 p.m., just a little over a week after another fatal crash happened.

California Highway Patrol says the motorcyclist was going southbound on Highway 41 and a SUV was driving north.

The driver of the SUV was allegedly trying to pass up another car, entered the southbound lane and crashed into the motorcyclist head-on.

He died at the scene, CHP says.

He was identified Monday as Cary Williams, 49, of Fresno.

The driver and passengers of the SUV were not majorly injured.

Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor.
