A homeless man living near traintracks was killed Wednesday morning after being struck by an oncoming train, according to Fresno Police.

The collision happened at around 11 a.m. near G and Tuolumne streets in downtown Fresno.

Lt. Mark Hudson with the Fresno Police Department says a man in his 30s, who is believed to be homeless, living near the tracks, was crossing when the train struck and killed him.

“When officers arrived they performed CPR on the victim, but were unable to revive him,” Hudson says.

There were no reported injuries to those on the train.
