Man killed in DUI dirt bike crash near Bass Lake, CHP says

Local News

A man died after crashing his dirt bike into a tree Saturday morning, and alcohol may be involved, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Just after 8:33 a.m., CHP officers responded to the area of Beasore Road and Road 274, just above Bass Lake, for a report of a crash.

Officers found that a man, in his early to mid 20s, was driving on a curve when he lost control. He reportedly wasn’t wearing a helmet when he crashed into a tree.

Alcohol may be a factor in what caused the crash, CHP says.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been identified.
