A Madera man was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Tuesday morning, and the Madera Police Department released a video of him operating his vehicle.
“Without a doubt, DUI drivers are some of the most dangerous, unpredictable and preventable hazards on our roadways,” the Police Department said.
The incident occurred just after midnight in a residential neighborhood in the area of Lake Street and Sunrise Avenue.
Officers were dispatched to the area regarding a driver passed out behind the wheel of their vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and were able to safely stop the vehicle.
The driver, Felipe Santos, was extremely intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests, police said.
He was later booked at the Madera County Jail on charges of driving under the influence.
