Kevin McCarthy’s Bakersfield office broken into, large rock smashes through window

Police are looking into an apparent break-in at House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s Bakersfield office.

Kevin McCarthy’s social media pages posted photos of the damage done to his office at 4100 Empire Drive.

A post McCarthy’s Instagram page shows who they say are three people who threw a boulder through a window and stole office equipment.

Bakersfield police said they are aware of the incident and are following up. 

It’s unknown what exactly was taken from the office.

17 News has reached out to Kevin McCarthy’s representative for additional comment, but they have not responded.
