Julian Castro becomes first 2020 presidential candidate to visit Fresno

Local News

Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro visited Fresno Friday, making him the first candidate for the 2020 presidential race to stop in Fresno.

“I wanted to come to Fresno, though, because it’s not a place where a lot of people come. And, one of the things that I want Americans to know if I’m elected president, is that everybody counts. That’s why I’m going to places where people don’t normally go, to ask for support.”

Castro is the keynote speaker at a fundraising dinner for the Fresno County Democratic Party.
