John Carbray, Grizzlies founder, has passed away

FRESNO, Calif. — John Carbray, the man who helped bring Triple-A baseball to Fresno has passed away. Just last year, Carbray was inducted into the Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame.

John and his wife Diane were part of the Fresno Diamond Group which brought the Grizzlies to town. The Grizzlies played at Pete Beiden Field for four seasons, until a stadium was built in downtown Fresno in 2002.
