An illegal turn triggered a chain reaction crash in Fresno County Friday morning.
It happened at Central Avenue and Highway 145 around 10:30 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol.
CHP spokesperson, Vic Taylor, says a driver was parked on the side of the highway and made a U-turn in front of an oncoming car.
“That collision caused both vehicles to actually careen off, hit some parked vehicles on the side of the road where some migrant workers were eating lunch. At which time the car collided with two of those people eating lunch,” Taylor says.
One of the workers was flown by helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center, another was taken by ambulance to Madera Community Hospital.
No word if the driver blamed for causing the crash is facing charges.
