Hidalgo Elementary got a touch up, thanks to the community’s time

Local News

FRESNO, California (KGPE) — A group of volunteers spent their Saturday beautifying Hidalgo Elementary School in southeast Fresno.

The volunteers — made up of Hidalgo Elementary students, their parents and the community — picked up trash and planted flowers at the school.

They also painted three school murals: one portrays the school mascot, another showcases inspiring quotes, and the third shows a an example of diversity.

The goal of the beautification project was to strengthen school-community relationships. Hopefully, to promote a culture of learning and to celebrate education.
