Wawona Peach Tree Fruit Stand Robbed

FRESNO COUNTY, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Gerawan Farming and Wawona Packing have completed their merger. The Fresno County-based stone fruit farmer will join forces with the Tulare County-based stone fruit supplier and will be led by Dan Gerawan.

A joint statement issued on Wednesday by both companies says the union will create an enhanced platform for growth and innovation. Existing Wawona investor Paine Schwartz will be working with both sides to facilitate the merge.

“We have great respect for Wawona’s management and employees, all of whom share our passion for producing the highest-quality stone fruit,” said Dan Gerawan.

“We look forward to working closely with them and the team at Paine Schwartz to deliver even more of the best quality fruit to our customers.”

The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
