Fresno Police confirmed the identity of the man who allegedly brought an explosive device into a Panera Bread Wednesday night.

Chad Mazgedian, 43, of Fresno was reportedly on the run from Fresno Police, as well as federal authorities, after a search warrant was conducted at his Fresno home where explosive material was found.

He led officers on a short vehicle pursuit where it ended at Shaw and Marty avenues near a Panera Bread.

Fresno Police Lt. Bill Dooley says he ran inside the restaurant where police tackled him, and he  advised them an explosive device fell out of his pocket.

Nearby stores and eateries were evacuated of its customers while the scene was active.

In August 2016, Mazgedian was interviewed by our cameras at a concealed weapons training in Fresno.

He has been taken into custody by Fresno Police Department, and no injuries have been reported.
