Did you know one in six children in the Central Valley will be diagnosed with asthma?

The national average is one in 12, according to the Central California Asthma Collaborative.

On Wednesday, Fresno became the latest city to join the “Unmask My City,” a global movement by medical professionals who strive to better the air quality through reducing emissions.

Among those emissions in the Central Valley, distribution centers and dairy farms are named as key perpetrators. The valley is also located long a stretch of the two most traveled highways, increasing emissions in the area.
