FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Several Fresno Fire Department crews are battling two house fires that sparked within minutes of each other, on opposite ends of town Thursday night.
The first call was just after 7:15 p.m. at Simpson Avenue and Mariposa Street. It’s a vacant home that caught fire, where crews continue to battle after 8 p.m. to keep it from spreading.
The second report of a house fire came in around 7:40 p.m. in north Fresno near Friant Road and Copper Avenue. Authorities say it began inside a car it spread into the home.
