Fresno County Sheriff’s Office investigating possible drowning of a child

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of possible accidental drowning of a child Saturday night.

At around 8:15 p.m., reports of a drowning came in from the 5700 block of East Bernadine Drive, near Ashlan and Clovis avenues. Callers told dispatch they found the child floating in the pool.

The sheriff’s office says there is no word on the condition of the child, but the child was rushed to Clovis Community Hospital and later transported to Community Regional Medical Center.

Deputies estimate the child to be around two years old.
