Fresno Chaffee Zoo celebrates Ag Day, a reminder of where our food comes from

Local News

Saturday was a pretty good day to check out the Fresno Chaffee Zoo for its annual Ag Day.

The zoo was filled with 36 different agricultural vendors. In their booths, the companies would either promote their product or demonstrate what they do.

The goal of the event is to remind people their food is made in the Central Valley.

So it’s more than just sitting down at a table for dinner, how it might connect you to your food, your fiber, your energy, your fuel, says Karen Musson, CEO of Gar & Esther Tootelian Charitable Foundation.

Ag Day at the zoo is put on once a year, always during Ag Week, in the middle of Ag Month.
