Food, health care, law: Fresno City College students learn about life-changing services

Local News

Students at Fresno City College got the chance Wednesday to learn about all kinds of free services available in the Central Valley during “public services day” on campus.

Organizations were letting students know how they can cut down on their energy bills, get help buying food, pay for legal issues and have access to health care.

“Fresno City College students and really all college students need extra support. Bringing the organizations on to the campus just helps our students organize and prepare for their needs,” says Maile Martin, senior program specialist at Fresno City College.

College officials say having those booths on campus makes it easier for students and their families to learn about the available services.
