First Robotics Competition Central Valley Regional is this weekend, and it’s free

About 50 teams will compete in the first Robotics Competition Central Valley Regional at the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center this weekend.

More than 3,000 participants and spectators are expected to attend the free event. 

“This event brings together youth from all over the world to compete in Fresno,” said Layla Forstedt, CEO/President Fresno/Clovis Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We are so excited to see this event return and grow, and what better place to grow than Fresno?”

Opening ceremonies were at 8:30 a.m. Friday. Matches take place 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
