Fire crews battling Creek Fire near Woodlake

WOODLAKE, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Fire crews are battling the Creek Fire in the foothills east of Woodlake, Cal Fire said.

The blaze started Saturday in the area of Highway 216 and Dry Creek Drive, east of Woodlake, and the fire has burned 600 acres and is 30% contained, Cal Fire said.

Firefighters from Cal Fire’s Tulare unit report the fire is burning in a remote location with difficult access.
