Fire crews battle house fire, 7 displaced

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) — Fire crews battled a house fire Saturday afternoon, seven were displaced.

Fresno County Fire says they reported to a house fire in the area 5000 block of S. Chestnut Avenue just before 3:00 p.m.

When fire crews arrived they say the exterior of the home was burning, the flames were able to get into the inside of the attic.

Battalion Chief Ryan Michaels with Fresno County Fire says the people inside the home had evacuated by the time fire crews arrived.

Officials say the Central California Red Cross was requested due to the major damages to the home.

No injuries were reported.
