Farmworker, 18, ran over by his tractor while bailing hay

TULARE COUNTY, California – An 18-year-old farmworker was killed Friday afternoon in Tulare County when his tractor ran him over, the sheriff’s office says.

It happened around 1:15 p.m. near Avenue 328 and Road 80 when Miguel Hernandez was bailing hay. He was ran over by the tractor he was previously driving.

Two other employees saw what happened and called 911. They began CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s family has been notified.
