Local News

Some exciting news for downtown Fresno: A rooftop bar.

City of Fresno Mayor Lee Brand says plans are well underway for the city’s first-ever rooftop bar.

Quail State as its called will be located on the second floor of the historic Pacific Southwest Building at Fulton” and Mariposa streets.

The focus of the new restaurant-bar concept will be craft cocktails with a valley twist featuring local ingredients.

“There (are) rooftop bars all over the world. Fresno only really has this one spot that’s geared for this. To be able to be the first and only rooftop bar is a great opportunity,” says Joshua Islas, one of the project’s partners.

There are plans to open up the new spot in October or November.
