Missing 81-year-old woman rescued near the San Joaquin River

FRESNO, California – Update – Missing 81-year-old woman located near Bluff Ave and N Santa Fe Ave in Fresno.

Police said with the assistance of our Unmanned Ariel Vehicle Unit, Herlinda Soria has been located.

She was transported to the hospital, and her condition is unknown.

Herlinda Soria Hernandez was last seen around 6 a.m. Saturday walking in the 6600 block of West Lucas Drive, near the Riverside Golf Course.

She was last seen wearing a black hat, maroon sweater, black pants, and white shoes. She’s 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.

Police say she’s been diagnosed with dementia and is able to communicate.

She lives in the San Jose area, police say, and family had recently brought her to Fresno for a family event.
