Driver suffers major injuries after head-on crash with laundry delivery truck

FRESNO COUNTY, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A driver suffered major injuries and had to be pulled from their vehicle Thursday morning after a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and laundry delivery truck in rural Fresno County, the CHP said.

The collision occurred around 6 a.m. along Elkhorn Avenue, just east of Chateau Fresno Avenue.

Officer Jose Acosta said it took emergency crews from Fresno and Kings counties 45 minutes to an hour to pull the victim out of his pickup truck.

The victim was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
