Driver injured after crashing into hydrant in southeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A driver crashed and took out a fire hydrant in southeast Fresno Wednesday morning, according to Fresno Police officers.

The crash happened around 6:00 a.m. near Clovis and Clinton avenues. 

Officers said the driver suffered a serious ankle injury after hitting the hydrant and a stop sign.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
