Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing, at-risk Atwater man.

Just after 1 p.m. Friday, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6000 block of Atwater Jordan Road regarding a missing person report.

Timothy Connolly, 62, lives in a home for dependent adults with social workers on sight to help take care of the residence, the sheriff’s office says.

He reportedly left the residence at about 11:30 a.m.

Staff has limited information on Connolly because he had just arrived to the Atwater residence a couple of days ago from Mariposa.

Deputies, search and rescue volunteers, and a sheriff K-9 searched the local businesses and surrounding areas for Connolly.

An employee at McDonald’s said they saw Connolly walking west on Bell Drive toward the Arco gas station. But, at this time, he has not been located.

He was last seen wearing the clothing in his photo, and is described as five feet seven inches tall, 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

If you see Connolly, you are asked to contact the Merced County Sheriff’s Office at 209-385-7445.
