Democratic presidential candidate to visit Fresno for fundraiser dinner

Democratic presidential candidate and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the Obama administration, Julián Castro, will be making a stop in Fresno for a fundraising dinner.

On May 3, as the dinner’s keynote speaker, he will address student loan debt, senior economic security, veteran assistance and tackle issues of racial inequality and immigration.

“We are thrilled to host a presidential candidate in the Central Valley. Julián Castro has an impressive resume and a track record of public service,” says Michael D. Evans, chair of the Fresno County Democratic Party.

The event will be held at Pardini’s located at 2257 W. Shaw Ave, Fresno CA.

Castro is one of 20 Democratic contenders in the 2020 presidental race.
