Local News

TULARE, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Tulare Police Department announcing on Facebook it has recently become the owner of a former military vehicle, acquired through the Department of Defense’s 10-33 program.

The image was uploaded on Tuesday and shows the newly branded MRAP. Tulare Police describes it as “an invaluable piece of equipment that will help keep our officers and citizens safe in critical situations.”

The majority of responses on Facebook are in favor of the huge vehicle, but some question why military equipment is being used in a civilian environment.
