Central Valley law enforcement hits the pavement for the thirty-fifth annual ‘Baker to Vegas’ run

Local News

It’s that time of year for our law enforcement to race across the Mojave Desert.

The thirty-fifth annual Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay Race began around 11 a.m. Saturday in Baker, California.

There are multiple agencies representing the Central Valley, and this year’s race has nearly 300 agencies from around the world participating.

Those running the end of the race are expected to get to Las Vegas Sunday morning around 4 a.m.

In total, around 6,300 runners hit the pavement, and most of them are sworn-in personnel.
