BLKMKTPLC: High-end thrift finds benefit those with barriers finding work

Local News

It’s the first thursday of Feburary 2019, which means it’s ArtHop night in downtown Fresno.

We stopped in at Fulton Street Coffee to check out their display tonight, and it was a pop-up shop of BLKMKTPLC, or Black Market Place.

The pop-up features vintage, designer clothing and accessories from Neighborhood Industries with all proceeds benefiting a workforce development program called “Pathways to Employment.”

“Pretty much anyone with barriers, we work with and our mission is to remove those barriers and help them become self sustaining,” says Ricky Bravo, spokesperson for Neighborhood Industries.

The pop-up shop will be open at Fulton Street Coffee through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
